Senior BackEnd Developer

This is what you will do as a Senior BackEnd Developer. 

Our webshops for the Fixami brand as well as its backing systems are tailormade to keep the business running as smoothly as possible while offering customers an amazing shopping experience. Your job as part of the team is to adapt, improve and extend the software to keep up with innovations. One day you are responsible for simplifying the customer checkout, the next day you could be future-proofing the warehouse systems. Together we help our customers get their products through the best experience possible. Your role as Back End Developer in Tilburg will involve:

• Symfony-based PHP applications backed by MySQL, Elasticsearch, Redis and more.
• Dependency management with Composer.
• Communicating with third party REST API’s, SOAP API’s and SFTP servers.
• Containerized development environments running on Docker.
• Automated test setups and code reviews; quality first.
• An agile development process based on scrum.

Fixami is looking for. 

You understand the balance between IT and business and are ready to bring Fixami to a higher level. You are tech-savvy and have:

• At least 3 years of relevant development experience.
• Advanced knowledge of PHP and SQL.
• Experience with Symfony, Laravel, Zend Framework, or other object-oriented frameworks.
• Eagerness to continuously improve code quality.
• Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes is an advantage.
• Available 32-40 hours a week.
• Able to work in Tilburg for 2 days a week, you can work remote the other days. 

Please note that we can only accept your application if you are based in Tilburg area (30KM radius), and are a European Passport Holder or have a valid visa to work at any company within The Netherlands. Currently we don't sponsor any kind of visa.
